Crimson clover is in Danish called "Blood clover" because of the blood-red colour of its flowers. Crimson clover, unlike other types of clover, has an elongated and very large flower that blooms from top to bottom with the most beautiful blood red colour.
Crimson clover can become a really bushy plant under the right conditions with many flowers and long-lasting flowering and is good as an annual ground cover in the summer. All types of clover can be used in the vegetable garden for soil improvement and green manure - Here it makes sense to choose an annual clover and make sure it doesn't drop seeds.
