Woodland sage are beautifully flowering dense sage bushes with an abundance of spikes of tightly packed small flowers in either pink or blue-purple. As well as being a beautiful summer flower, perennial sage is also perfect for the perennial bed because it effectively covers the soil so that weeds don't stand a chance. Perennial sage is used by some as an alternative to lavender bushes.
