Sunflowers are the epitome of the Danish garden and bring life and joy with their height and color. Sunflowers are one of the best because they provide life and nourishment for bees and butterflies, as well as for us (yes, you can actually eat the petals of sunflowers) and later on for the birds, who love to peck the seeds out of the deflowered sunflower heads. In addition, sunflowers also make excellent cut flowers, so you can enjoy them both indoors and outdoors.
This type of sunflower is a little unusual as it doesn't have the brown center that other sunflowers have. Instead, it is frilly and yellow all the way through. It grows about 1m tall and produces 1-5 heads per plant.
