This hisbiscus thrives in the Danish climate and has no problem with frost. It blooms profusely in high summer, when it really draws attention from everything around it with its large purple flowers with many delicate petals.
Growing hibiscus from seed is not difficult, but it does require a bit of patience as the plant needs 3 years before you see the first flowers. Once it has taken hold, however, it grows very quickly and within a few years you will have a reasonably large shrub to enjoy.
