Evening primrose is true to its name in that its splendor only unfolds when darkness settles over the quiet summer evening. The evening primrose spends its day with its flower heads closed and twisted together, and when it starts to get dark, it unfolds its elegant snow-white flowers and welcomes the night.
Evening primrose is a native species in Denmark and thrives in Danish soil. I wouldn't do without it in my garden.
