Dill is the wonder herb here in the house at Lindelyst, which everyone loves - even the small children. Dill has a very distinctive flavour that is hard to describe, but you probably know it. Dill is great on top of an egg sandwich or in fish dishes; on a sandwich with hering or in homemade summer dressings.
Typically, you will harvest the dill plant at a height of 10-20cm, where it has formed a lot of the green, slightly drooping foliage. Dill can be eaten fresh but can also be dried for flavouring. Alternatively, you can wait until the dill has flowered and formed the large yellow umbels, which can then be harvested and used for pickling, for example.
