With annual flowers, you get quick results, as they only stay for one season, and therefore are guaranteed a flowering the first year. These are typically a little easier to grow than perennial flowers. With most of the flowers that are indiginous, there is a chance that their seeds survive the winther and you will reexperience the flowers the following year.
